** Who Can I Approach About SISEL? **

Recently there has been some confusion as to who you can and can't approach and talk to about your SISEL business; specifically when it comes to distributors from other MLM companies or even downline from a company you were formerly with.

Generally you can approach anyone about SISEL. However, you may be bound by a "non-compete" agreement from a former company you were involved with. Most non-compete agreements/clauses are for a limited time such as 1 year from the time you resigned from the former company, from the time your distributor position was taken away from you, or from the time you were suspended by your former company.

The non-compete prohibition usually restricts you from approaching distributors in your former company who are not in your immediate downline (1st level) and not family members or close friends. Thus you are usually free to approach any family member, friend and 1st level downline business associate and talk to them about SISEL. But downline members further down may be off limits until the non-compete time period lapses.

What are the penalties for violating this non-compete agreement? Usually there is little the other company can do besides taking away your distributor position in their company (which you may have already given up). However if the other company can show a significant monetary loss or damage to their business due to your violation of the non-compete agreement they could have grounds to sue for damages.

Granted this would most likely be a bit difficult for the other company to prove, but it could distract you, tie you up, cause you to incur legal fees, stress and emotional trauma as you navigate through the legal system.

Overall it is best to be aware of any type of non-compete agreement, terms, and durations when you sign a contract to be an independent distributor for any company. But it is also worth remembering that you are an INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTOR. You are not an employee, but an independent contractor.

You are free to represent, market and sell products from any company – otherwise you would not be considered independent. Any restrictions a company makes that would hamper your ability to earn income and remain independent will likely be struck down by the courts. (Remember this is not legal advice, just our opinion. Consult a licensed attorney in your area for specific contract questions and legal advice.)

Also many companies consider downline lists, bonus lists and any other list with the names of individuals and especially contact information to be the property of the company. Using such a list to contact people in a current or former downline about your new opportunity could be problematic and violate the terms of the contract you signed with a former company.

It is best to either start with the people around you – your "warm market" - those who would be obvious for you to approach – those who you have a long-standing personal and/or business relationship with. And make some effort to meet and approach new people. And don't forget people who turned you down in the past. Now may be the right time in their lives for this opportunity.

As you consider the people you wish to approach about SISEL, be mindful of any past obligations you may have agreed to. Honor those obligations and operate your SISEL business in a manner that is legal and ethical.

** SISEL's Executive Lateral Transfer Program **

SISEL's Executive Lateral Transfer program is a way to skip over the 5000 cumulative group volume requirement on your way to becoming an Executive. When accepted into the Lateral Transfer program you are immediately granted the status of Executive, but you still have to achieve the monthly qualifications to be paid as an Executive.

To qualify for the Executive Lateral Transfer program you must have had an Executive level position (or similar position) in another network marketing/MLM company. A position in which you had several thousand dollars of sales for several months or in which you earned several hundreds of dollars a month in commissions on a regular basis. This has been specifically left vague so that SISEL can consider a variety of situations and past histories.

To apply for the Executive Lateral Transfer program you will need to fill out Form 110 Executive Lateral Transfer Application and fax or mail it to the SISEL office (the fax number is on the form). This form can be downloaded in PDF format from your TeamSizzle.com Back Office (http://www.teamsizzle.com/login.html "My Info" | "My SISEL Forms") or from your SISEL Back Office on the "My Account" | "SISEL Forms" page.

Your faxed or mailed form must also be accompanied by a document showing your level in a former MLM company. SISEL will evaluate the level you achieved to see if it will qualify you for the Lateral Transfer program. But do NOT send lists of downline members as many companies see these reports as their property and do not want SISEL to have copies. And SISEL does not want to upset other companies in this way.

The Executive Lateral Transfer program can really give your distributorship a strong boost, especially if you know other people who could qualify and you enroll them into your downline. Several fresh new Executives in your downline can catapult you to a high Executive Star Rank almost instantly.

SISEL is anxious to reward you for your hard work and success in the past. If you feel you could qualify for the Executive Lateral Transfer program download and submit an application. Or contact your sponsor or upline for assistance.
